Thank you for using Image Toolbox. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the app handles information related to you.
Please read this policy before using the app. By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
In short
- No personal information is collected; no account or sign-in is required
- All images are processed on your device and never uploaded to any server
- The app has no internet permission and can only read the images you choose
- Results are saved as new images; your originals are never changed or deleted
- No advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
1. Information we collect
Image Toolbox lets you compress, resize, convert, crop and rotate images, remove location and other info from photos, stitch images together and add watermarks.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information, nor do we collect device identifiers, location, contacts or usage data. The app has no account system; all features work without signing in.
The app does not request the internet permission. It is technically unable to send your images or any other data to a server, and we have no access to your images.
2. Reading and processing images
You pick images in the system photo picker or file picker, or share them to the app from your gallery or another app. The app can read only the images you pick or share; it does not need permission to read your storage and does not browse your gallery.
The Remove Location tool reads the location (GPS), device model, date taken, author and similar info (EXIF and other metadata) in your photos on your device, only to show it to you. Nothing is saved or sent. To remove it, the app copies the original into its private cache, deletes that info, saves the result as a new image and then deletes the cached copy.
Compressing, resizing, converting, cropping, stitching and watermarking all happen in your device's memory. Re-encoded images do not keep the original photo info.
3. Saving results
Results are saved to the "Pictures/Image Toolbox" folder on your device. Your original images are never changed or deleted. You can view, share or delete the results in your gallery or file manager.
The app does not keep a processing history or store your images inside the app. Temporary files created while processing stay in the app's private cache and are cleaned up when the app starts.
A few preferences, such as the app language, may be backed up by Android to your own Google account; we have no access to those backups. Your images are not backed up by the app.
4. Permissions
Storage (write): only on Android 9 and below, used to save results to your gallery. Android 10 and above do not need this permission.
The app does not request internet, camera, location, contacts, phone or microphone permissions.
5. Sharing
Results are passed to another app only when you tap Share and choose that app in the system share sheet. That app handles the data under its own privacy policy.
6. Third-party services
The app does not include any advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
The app is distributed through Google Play. Depending on your device settings, Google may collect diagnostic information such as installs and crashes, which is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
7. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from any user, including children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, the law or our operations change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a new effective date. If a new version materially changes how data is handled, we will notify you prominently in the app.
